Green Beans & Ground Pork Stirfry

Ingredients

  • 1 lb stringbeans, stems removed
  • 2T + 1T cooking oil
  • 1" fresh ginger root, peeled & chopped
  • 1t garlic, chopped
  • 10-16oz ground pork
  • 1T soy sauce
  • 2T oyster sauce
  • 1t sugar
  • 1T corn starch or flour
  • Ground black pepper to taste
  • 1/2C chicken broth or water

Procedure

Stir-fry green beans in 2T oil for 3-5 minutes; remove and set aside. Sauté ginger in 1T oil for about 1 minute; add garlic and sauté one minute longer. Add ground pork, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and corn starch, and stir-fry until pork is cooked thoroughly, about 5 minutes. Season to taste with black pepper. Add chicken broth and cooked string beans, and thicken sauce by stir-frying for 3-5 mintues longer.

Serve over rice and enjoy!
