  • 2 1/2c cake flour
  • 1 1/4t baking powder
  • 3/4t salt
  • 1/2t baking soda
  • 3/4c butter, softened
  • 1 1/2c sugar
  • 3/4c strawberry preserves
  • 4 large eggs
  • 3/4t vanilla extract
  • 1/2c buttermilk

Strawberry Cream-Cheese Icing

  • 1 8-ounce package cream cheese, softened
  • 1c unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4c strawberry preserves
  • 1t vanilla extract
  • 4c confectioners sugar
  • pinch salt
